What a pleasant surprise it was to find your cd at Sam Goody today. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but plan to soon. I don't know if you remember me, but I was a student of yours in 1991, 1992. I have a lot of good memories from attending your class. Glad to see you are doing well. If you get a chance feel free to check out my blog as well. http://www.creativity-cave.blogspot.com/.

Hey Mr. Mitchell! I listened to your tracks and I think they are great. There are so many aspects to teachers that students never know, I can say it was a pleasure to find out one of yours. Don't ever stop!

Chrys- Thank you for all of your help. Our retirement home show was spiritually rewarding in a way I'd nearly forgotten. I'm looking forward to our next trip to Iowa. Drop me a line when you get the chance. f

Hi, Chrys--

I'm Nic Arp--we played a show together at the Mill in Iowa City in December. I'm looking to start playing out of town a bit, and I was wondering if you might be able to recommend some good places in eastern Iowa; I'm not looking for money, necessarily, just places to play for now.

I remember you mentioned Brewed Awakenings and Blue Strawberry in CR, and I'm contacting them--any others you'd recommend?

Also, if you ever need someone to share a booking with you, let me know.

Thanks much and take care--

Nic

Yes, you do teach at Kirkwood, but not music; you're an English instructor, which is definitely better than blue-collar or corporate work.

And, cheers to climbing!

Stewart McCoy - February 19, 2005, 10:29 am
Hi Chrys.

Hi Joel.

Hi Chrys - Cool website! I guess I'll be seeing you around Kirkwood this fall. Keep up the hackey sack man - you're pretty good!

Diana Whytock - January 16, 2004, 5:23 pm
Hi Chrys. I did a vain little search with my name in it and found your post about my music (I am assuming it's me, how funny if it isn't). I am so inspired and grateful for having found it. Please contact me, I would love to hear your stuff. I am going to try to get to a computer with sound (I am public internet only at the moment) on the 19th to catch the broadcast. I am moving to San Diego, CA from my hometown Big Bear Lake, CA soon and hope to sing for money. I have a couple of contacts in the jazz world down there (me sing jazz? hell yes.) so I'm gonna try it out.

Again, I appreciate your words. Please email me if you have the time. I hope you have a wonderful new year!

Sincerely, Diana

Hi Chrys, congratulations on your success! I was a student of yours a few years back at Kirkwood and I remembered you telling me about your love of singing and I stumbled upon all of this while surfing the net tonight. You made an impact on me in class and I've never forgotten you. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that. I also ordered both your CDs. The samples I heard were terrific. I wish you the best with your endeavors. I hope to be able to make one of your performance soon.
